Vision & Imagination

My Goal for this project is to educate myself and get an overview about the topic animal welfare.

  • I'm curious about how people around me think about animal welfare
  • I want to learn how I can support animal welfare organisations in my everyday life
  • We want to contact some swiss animal welfare organisations and we are excited to get their answers

I imagine that we can senitize people for this topic and improve animal welfare as much as possible. In the future we could continue this project even after our apprenticeship. Maybe we will then have good contact with experts or have founded our own animal protection organisation.

Animal Welfare - Vision & Imagination

I would like to learn more about animal welfare with this project. I'm curious about how the animals are being treated and what we can do to help them.

We contacted a few swiss animal welfare associations and already got a few answers. I'm excited to read the answers and sum up the results.

It would be nice if we can get people to read about animal welfare and engage with it. A lot could be done with this topic. Maybe we can bring a small part of humanity to think more about this topic and to make something happen.

ChatGPT - bottle bricks

We asked the ChatGPT the following question:

What are the 10 most important terms for our project bottle bricks?

And these were the answers:

  1. Sustainability
  2. Recycling
  3. Plastic waste
  4. Compression strength
  5. Building material
  6. Eco-friendly
  7. Reusable
  8. Upcycling
  9. Durability
  10. Alternative construction material

Vision & Imagination

My thoughts on the project:

I'm curious about how much plastic I use and about how long it takes to fill up a bottle. How can I produce less plastic waste? Are there alternatives to plastic. What can we do with bigger plastic pieces / hard plastic?

Ideas:

•Choose other packaging

•Bring food from home

•Eat out

•Use reusable bottle

•Tote bag

•Use scissors to make smaller pieces that fit in the bottle

10 important terms / Ski Resorts / Chat GPT

Here are 10 important terms regarding artificial snow in ski resorts:

Snowmaking: The production process of snow.

Snow guns: The machines which produce snow.

Compressors: Compressors for compressed air, which a snow gun requires .

Water pumps: The water must be pumped from a lake to the snow cannon.

Snow quality: The snow quality must be right to guarantee the perfect ski conditions.

Snow grooming: The slopes must be maintained for optimal conditions.

Temperature inversion: The artificial snow works only in combination with natural snow.

Snow depth: Snow depth is important to cover the ground.

Snow density: The snow density helps to make the slope durable and stable.

Wet bulb temperature: The cooling limit temperature is also called the wet bulb temperature, it is the lowest temperature that can be achieved by evaporative cooling.

Vision & Imagination: bottle bricks

My thoughts about the project:

  • I'm curious about how much plastic waste I produce.
  • I'm curious about how long it takes to fill up a bottle.
  • Does Switzerland use bottle bricks?
  • Is it useful?
  • How can we produce less plastic waste?
  • Are there alternatives?
  • What can we do with bigger plastic pieces / hard plastic?

Ideas:

  • Choose other packaging
  • Bring food from home
  • Eat out

Wind Power - Social Media Post

Did you ever wonder how wind turbines work and if Switzerland would profit from using more wind power?

This might be something for you! In this project, we will tell you what goes on behind the scenes of a working wind turbine. You will also find out all about the swiss wind power and if it even can be extended.

Stay tuned for updates on our project!

Artificial snow and it‘s energy consumtion

Hello everybody

Here is a picture of artificial snow.

As time goes on, global warming makes it very likely that we will have less natural snow in our ski resorts. Through that, the need for artificial snow will rise and with it the energy consumption for it.

Our project group has the goal to shine a light on this problem.

We will keep you updated.

Kind regards
