Team with Nina, Inês and Alisha
Our goals for today
- Complete the changes for the survey and add suggestions from Frau Suter
- Deploy the survey so that it's ready to send out
- Send out the survey to WKVW, Dubai and India and other schools
What we achieved today
- We looked through our survey with Frau Suter and made the final changes
- We deployed the survey
- We sent out the survey to WKVW, Dubai, India, Gymi Wetzikon, Gymi Stadelhofen, Gymi Hottingen und Swiss International School
- We filled out the team assessment
We are looking forward to seeing the results of the survey and are curious as to how our project will continue!

We received feedback from Frau Suter for our questions. We applied the feedback and adapted the questions.
Our next step is to prepare a draft email to send to students in WKVW, India and Dubai. You can read the mail down below:
Dear participant,
For a school project we are conducting a survey on "reducing daily CO2 emissions".
We are confronted with CO2 emissions on a daily basis and in recent years it has become clear that we need to reduce emissions to help the environment.
Thank you for taking 5 minutes out of your day to complete this survey.
Kind regards
Nina, Inês and Alisha
Our next step is to send out the survey.
Team with Nina, Inês and Alisha
Here are our drafted survey questions:
1. Have you heard of CO2 emissions before?
2. What do you understand under the term CO2 emissions? (Answer also possible in german)
3. Do you think the current laws and regulations in Switzerland about CO2 emissions are strict enough?
4. Do you think the different countries are doing enough to solve this global problem?
5. Who do you think is responsible for solving the problem of CO2 emissions? More...

Media is a very powerful tool which can make a great difference in a project. In our project "reducing daily CO2 emissions" we want to try and include different media forms.
Social Media (Instagram): on social media you can reach a large amount of people. We prepared an Instagram post for @dontwastemyenergy so that people can get a first impression about our project.
Article: at the end of our project we will write a short article/summary about our project with a how to guide on reducing daily CO2 emissions.
Survey: we are going to conduct a survey with different schools.
Pictures/videos: we want to try to add pictures/videos in our article.

Unfortunately Inês wasn't able to attend today's group collaboration, so we had to postpone the discussion of the survey questions. Instead we worked with the Wind Power Team to create the peer feedback and then started to use their feedback to improve our project. Start discussing the questions for the survey.

Receive an introduction for the survey tool, as well as getting to know the tool and make the final selection of the questions. Contact different schools to ask if they can forward our survey to their students. More...
Dear Nina, Alisha and Inês
Below you can find our feedback regarding your project.
1. can I get an impression of the project in a short time?
After reading your posts on the horse, we were able to get a short overview of your project "reducing daily CO2" and what you would like to do. The first impressions of your project are really good. It is a very exciting topic and you posted a lot of interesting information on the horse.
2. Are all steps clearly communicated
The steps are really clear to us. We think it would be nice, if you add a timetable to the horse, so we can see the next steps. However, we think your updates on how far you've come are great!
3. what already looks promising, interesting
We think you have made a very good effort in posting lots of interesting information. Your concept is a great overwiev of your project. You have written a great "Vision and Imagination" and we can see that you have potential in the future. Additionally, it is important that you raise awareness about this matter. What really caught our eye is that you asked a question in your post and then answered it in detail.
4. what could be added
As we mentioned before, we would love if you could add a timetable.
5. In your opinion, where does the project stand on a scale of 1-10?
In our opinion, the project is on a very good way. We hope you continue your project and work at the same pace.
We rate this project a 9.5/10. Keep up the excellent work!

The first stage of our project is completed: we have done research on CO2 emissions, analysed how we create emissions and gathered ideas on how to reduce the emissions.
The next step is creating the survey. We have decided to make the survey with "survey monkey". We have set ourself the task to each come up with three question ideas for the survey until the next group collaboration, where we will discuss the ideas and concretise the questions to start creating our survey.

What are our imaginations for the project?
Quote from Nina: "When I joined the team and thought about the project, the first thing that came to mind is my own co2 emission. I drive a car and make quite a few kilometers a day, so it isn‘t too easy to reduce the co2 emission since public transport is inconvient in my situation. But I thought about other things I could change, like buying local food or using second hand clothing instead of fast fashion. As a side note I want to add that there is an interesting project on the project of fast fashion." More...

In our last post we made a list of how we create CO2 emissions. Here a little reminder:
- use of car
- use of public transport
- going on holidays with the airplane
- heating
- buying clothes, shoes, food, digital devices More...

Today we did research on how people create CO2 emissions. Here is a list with the top 4 causes:
1. Burning of fossil fuels -> people do this for heating
2. Deforestation -> this means that the forest gets cut down
3. Transport -> car, bus, train, airplane
4. Cement production -> cement is used for lots of things for example for buildung houses More...
Let's take action to reduce our CO2 emissions! š We're starting with researching and analyzing our own daily habits, and then surveying others on what they're doing to reduce their emissions. #climatechange #takeaction More...
