In our last post we made a list of how we create CO2 emissions. Here a little reminder:
- use of car
- use of public transport
- going on holidays with the airplane
- heating
- buying clothes, shoes, food, digital devices
Now the question is: how can we reduce these CO2 emsissions?
- We can use public transport more, instead of using the car. We can also use car sharing to fill the cars instead of only having one person per car. If we only have to go short distances we can also walk or go with the bike.
- We can reduce the heating. If we get cold we can put on another jumper before turning up the heating.
- We can take shorter showers.
- We can keep an eye out for our food behaviour: eat less meat, waste no food, try to eat local foods. There are also options like too good to go, where we can buy leftovers from local stores with a discount, instead of them throwing it away.
These are some of our ideas that we will try to implenate in our daily routines? Do you have more ideas? Let us know in the comments.
