We are students from the wkvw school in Wetzikon, Switzerland. 

We are currently working on a project about bottle bricks and have made a survey for it. We would be very grateful if you could spread the survey among your students, so we could get different answers from different countries.

Update Project 18.04.2023

Today we had a zoom meeting with Sivani from Kerala to discuss the information we have gathered so far. We had a great conversation and we were able to really colaborate! We discussed the option of doing a survey and decided that we are going to conduct a survey. Sivani will send the link to her colleagues in India and we will send it to our classmates here in Switzerland. The questions in the survey will be the same.

We told her that we are going to have an online-interview with a person who is specialized in wind power and she really liked our plan.

We also discussed how we want to do the organization of the survey. We agreed that the survey has to be conducted until 9th of May. On this date we will also have our next zoom meeting at 14:00 o' clock and evaluate the survey together.

Our next step is to conduct the intwerviews, finish our explanatory video and prepare a cover picture that we can later use for our article on dontwastemyenergy.

Our goals for today

  • Complete the changes for the survey and add suggestions from Frau Suter
  • Deploy the survey so that it's ready to send out
  • Send out the survey to WKVW, Dubai and India and other schools

What we achieved today

  • We looked through our survey with Frau Suter and made the final changes 
  • We deployed the survey
  • We sent out the survey to WKVW, Dubai, India, Gymi Wetzikon, Gymi Stadelhofen, Gymi Hottingen und Swiss International School
  • We filled out the team assessment

We are looking forward to seeing the results of the survey and are curious as to how our project will continue!

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

Unsere Namen sind Damian Kölliker und Christian Schepperle. Wir sind beide Schüler an der Wirtschaftsschule KV Wetzikon. Die Schule bietet uns die Gelegenheit einen Artikel zu verfassen und diesen nach Möglichkeit in einer Zeitung zu publizieren. In diesem Zusammenhang würden wir Ihnen gerne unseren Artikel mit dem Titel "Die Auswirkungen von Videospielen auf die Umwelt" vorstellen.

Wir interessieren uns schon lange für Videospiele und lieben es, diese zu spielen. Als wir uns in der Schule intensiv mit dem Klimawandel auseinandergesetzt haben, stellten wir uns die Frage, wie umweltschädlich Videospiele tatsächlich sind. Deshalb haben wir uns mit dem Zusammenhang zwischen Videospielen und dem Klimawandel beschäftigt. Zu diesem Thema haben wir mit drei Schülern aus Indien gesprochen, um ihre Sicht zu dem Thema zu erfahren.

Zusammen mit den Schülern aus Indien, haben wir ein Experiment durchgeführt. Wir haben gemessen, wie stark der Stromverbrauch von verschiedenen Videospielen ist und welchen Einfluss es hat, auf welchem Gerät man die Spiele spielt.
