Wars cause environmental problems, but which ones? Let those affected answer this question!
Status:
Two weeks ago Damian and I made a list of different games and sent it to our colleagues in India. We, as well as our friends abroad, played these games and wrote down the energy consumption. Last Sunday we had a second meeting with the students from India. This was rather short as we only collected the results of our experiment and discussed the next steps.
Next steps:
- Calculate the results
- Write an E-Mail to the Indians with the next steps
- Evaluate the results of the first interview
- Come up with more questions to ask the stundents from India
- Set the next date for the third meeting
- Write an article to publish it
- more to come...

Exciting progress on my wastewater treatment project! Just completed an interview with an expert in the field and can't wait to share what I've learned. Stay tuned for updates!
Hey there! My project is about the Penan from Borneo. The Penan have a very different lifestyle in comparison to our own! If you are interested in getting to know a new culture, this is the project you should follow.

Hello guys! Our project is about how gaming effects the environment. Have you ever thought that this is possible at all? If you are interested in how firmly gaming harms our environment, this would be the project for you.

For a fast fashion project, different media such as the following ones can convey this well
- statistics with numbers
- photographics
- videos
- reports
- social media platforms
There are many statistics and figures --> illustrate the extent of the impact of the fast fashion industry
on the environment and society
Images and infographics --> visualize complex issues and make them easier to understand
Videos --> for creating an emotional connection with viewers
Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter --> to draw people's attention to the topic
of fast fashion and to encourage discussion
For our project there are certainly many types of media we could use. As we have proceeded to interview three people from Ukraine I thinkt the most suitable media would be in written form.
For example we could summarise the answers which are similar. That would make it easier for the reader, as the text would be shorter in the end. And aswell repetitions could be reduced.
Another option for us would be to place the different answers next to eachother to reach some type of comparison characteristics.
Audios of some answers could touch the readers emotions. Hearing a person speak is most definitely more touching than just reading about their experiences.
Also a video of the interviewee’s talking in Ukrainian with English subtitles would be a great option to reach the readers interest.
Also regarding the fundamental information on the situation in Ukraine we could use news article, videos from news channels or on YouTube maybe.
Media outlets are powerful tools that can be used to promote projects and ideas. Our green roof project is a perfect example of a project that can benefit from the use of various media outlets.
Social media is a powerful tool that can reach a large number of people in a short amount of time. By using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, we can create posts, share images, and videos about our green roof project. We can also use hashtags (Just like we did for our social media post on Instagram).
Newspapers are a great way to reach people locally who may not be active on social media. By writing an article about our green roof project and submitting it to local newspapers, we can get our message out to a wider (maybe even elderly) audience.
We will also write an article about our green roof project and post it on dontwastemyenergy.
We can create posters about our green roof project and hang them in school hallways or on the classroom doors. By doing this, we can raise awareness about the project (and as a part of the social media team, we can do this for all projects) and encourage students to get involved.
Our Interview has already been conducted and we recorded the interview. We made a video with an audio.
The media that my coral reefs team will use are the following:
- social media: instagram
- Image-based media: visual content such as photographs, graphics, and illustrations
We have to choose the media type that best aligns with our project. We also have to consider the preferences of our target audience to ensure that our project resonates with them.
Possibilities I use in my project:
- Interview —> Audio, but in the end it is only written.
- Visit: ARA in Rüti.
- Online research (Different websites, YouTube, etc.)
- Employer (I work part-time)
Other possibilites in could use in my project:
- Ask a person from another country how wastewater works there (I had a partner, but unfortunately he cancelled the appointment)
- Video
