Plan for today - Green Gaming

- Start planing what we want to publish exactly on DWME
- Post an update to our IDAF
- Do the tasks

Our project is on a good way. We have everything we need and the only thing that is left, is the text that we want to publish on DWME. We have pictures for the project, from me and Damian but unfortunately the students from Kerala dont want to send us pictures of them. Only Advaith did send us one of him and his laptop. The others do not want a picture of them to be published.

Finished article - Green Gaming

Articel ready for publishing
On Wednesday afternoon Damian and I finished writing our article and had a quick look at it with Mrs. Mittelholzer. We then sent it to the newspaper and are waiting for their response. Below you can find our finished article.

More...

Status update 18.04.23 - Green Gaming

Last week we started writing our article and composing an E-Mail to send to various media channels. Together we first wrote a summary of the interview and the results of the experiment in a document.

Today we created graphics for the article, showing the numbers of the results of the experiment. We have sent the summary and the graphs to our Indian colleagues by E-Mail with the question if they can ever send us a picture of themselves and we can publish this as well as their names.

We also emailed several newspapers asking if they would be interested in our article. We have sent everyone the same mail. We have written to the following newspapers: More...

Draft of an article - Green Gaming

We have written a draft of a possible article and included it below. Of course, this is still being revised and there may be further additions.

More...

Status update "Green Gaming"

Status:

Two weeks ago Damian and I made a list of different games and sent it to our colleagues in India. We, as well as our friends abroad, played these games and wrote down the energy consumption. Last Sunday we had a second meeting with the students from India. This was rather short as we only collected the results of our experiment and discussed the next steps.

Next steps:

  • Calculate the results
  • Write an E-Mail to the Indians with the next steps
  • Evaluate the results of the first interview
  • Come up with more questions to ask the stundents from India
  • Set the next date for the third meeting
  • Write an article to publish it
  • more to come...

Use of Media "Green Gaming"

There are many different ways to use media. In our project we needed Zoom for the meetings with the students from India and Outlook for the communication as well as Whats App.
For publishing following possibilities are considered:

  • Interview: Audio or Video
  • Results: Calculations
  • Numbers to calculate the results: World Wide Web
  • The whole documentation: Article and evt. visit to a radio station

We already have some of the results of the experiment and are now calculating them. Our friends from India are eventually writing a small article as well.

Status of our project - Green Gaming

Status:
Before the sports vacations we presented our project idea at the Zoom meeting. In the Zoom meeting were our class of BMVZ 22 and a school class from India. During the sports vacations Damian and I were busy elsewhere. We saw only at the end of the vacations that people were interested in our project. They wrote their mail and name in the mural. We plan to contact these people and tell them more about our project. We haven't arranged a meeting yet. We are still discussing how we want to do the experiment(s).

Interested participants from India:
Manas
E-Mail: manasjishith@gmail.com

Advaith
E-Mail: advaithnair28@gmail.com

Next Steps:
Discuss whether collaboration is an option
(- if a collaboration is in question, establish contact)
- Final decision which games to take and how exactly we want to measure/do it
(- explain the further procedure to the collaboration partner)
- Write down and compare our results
- Summarize and document everything
- more to come...
