Expericences - Media

Media outlets are powerful tools that can be used to promote projects and ideas. Our green roof project is a perfect example of a project that can benefit from the use of various media outlets.

Social media is a powerful tool that can reach a large number of people in a short amount of time. By using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, we can create posts, share images, and videos about our green roof project. We can also use hashtags (Just like we did for our social media post on Instagram).

Newspapers are a great way to reach people locally who may not be active on social media. By writing an article about our green roof project and submitting it to local newspapers, we can get our message out to a wider (maybe even elderly) audience.

We will also write an article about our green roof project and post it on dontwastemyenergy.

We can create posters about our green roof project and hang them in school hallways or on the classroom doors. By doing this, we can raise awareness about the project (and as a part of the social media team, we can do this for all projects) and encourage students to get involved.

Our Interview has already been conducted and we recorded the interview. We made a video with an audio

Experience Media

The media that my coral reefs team will use are the following:

  1. social media: instagram
  2. Image-based media: visual content such as photographs, graphics, and illustrations

We have to choose the media type that best aligns with our project. We also have to consider the preferences of our target audience to ensure that our project resonates with them.

Use of media „Wastewater treatment“

Possibilities I use in my project:

- Interview —> Audio, but in the end it is only written.

- Visit: ARA in Rüti.

- Online research (Different websites, YouTube, etc.)

- Employer (I work part-time)

Other possibilites in could use in my project:

- Ask a person from another country how wastewater works there (I had a partner, but unfortunately he cancelled the appointment)

- Video

Use of Media "Green Gaming"

There are many different ways to use media. In our project we needed Zoom for the meetings with the students from India and Outlook for the communication as well as Whats App.
For publishing following possibilities are considered:

  • Interview: Audio or Video
  • Results: Calculations
  • Numbers to calculate the results: World Wide Web
  • The whole documentation: Article and evt. visit to a radio station

We already have some of the results of the experiment and are now calculating them. Our friends from India are eventually writing a small article as well.

Feedback, Glacier melting

Overall, the text is a short but informative piece about the impact of glacier melting on the planet. It highlights the various emotions and thoughts that people have about this issue and how it can stimulate creativity and innovation.

Communication: The steps are not explicitly mentioned in the text, but the information is clear and easy to understand. The text does a good job of communicating the issue of glacier melting and its impact on the planet.

Promising/Interesting: The text presents an interesting perspective on the impact of glacier melting, emphasizing its emotional and imaginative impact. It also provides a call to action to address this issue, which is promising.

What could be added: The text could provide more specific examples of the impact of glacier melting, such as the effects on wildlife or human communities that rely on glaciers for water.

Scale of 1-10: I would rate this text a 8 on a scale of 1-10. While it is a well-written and informative piece, it could benefit from more specific examples to fully illustrate the impact of glacier melting.

Peer feedback on the Project Co2-Capture

Dear Sascha, Dear Janis

Below you can find our feedback regarding your project.

1. can I get an impression of the project in a short time?

The first impressions of your project are really good. It is a very exciting topic.

2. Are all steps clearly communicated

The steps are quite clear to me. The timetable helps a lot. However, I would like you to include deadline days in your timetable.

3. what already looks promising, interesting

I think you have made a very good effort in visiting this Co2-Capture machine in hinwil. I hope for your group that you can visit this plant to make a good project.

4. what could be added

as I mentioned before, I would love it if you could add some more dates to the timetable. I would also like the post to have a bit more structure.

5. In your opinion, where does the project stand on a scale of 1-10?

in my opinion, the project is on a very good way. However, you are not so far and it still lacks a bit of structure. But I hope you stay on it and continue to work at the same pace.

I give you therefore a 6.5 out of 10 for your project.

Speedy Feedback - CO2 Capture

After reading your posts on the horse, we were able to get a short overview of your project CO2 Capture and what you would like to do. You have written a great "Vision and Imagination" and we can see that you have potential in the future. It is clear that this project is still in its beginning-phase and is still being defined. The CO2-Machine is certainly useful and valuable. Additonally, it is important that you raise awareness about this matter. What really caught our eye is that you wrote your post like a fairy-tale, and this sets your project apart from others. Maybe you could compare the machine to trees and flowers and find a difference. We are sure that you can find a collaboration-partner and this project could be a success.

We rate this project a 7/10. Keep up the good work!

Imagination / Vision (Question about the machine)

Hey guys

In the last posts we had some good inputs, which explain how the machine works and what the duty of this machine is. In conclusion the machine transforms ambient air into co 2-filtered air. So the question is: How many kilograms of co2 filtered air does this machine produce per day?

Me and Sascha think that this machine produces 1 kilogram co2-filtered air per day.

To compare, estimates suggest that trees can sequester about 10kg of CO2 per year on average globally.

Write your answers in the comments:)

The right answer will be on our next post.

Vision & Imagination

The melting of glaciers is a worrisome problem that has different effects on our planet. When we consider the vision and imagination of glacier melting, it can bring about various emotions and thoughts in people.

For some, the melting of glaciers might bring up images of vast icy landscapes slowly disappearing, leaving behind only water and bare earth. This may cause a feeling of sadness and loss for the disappearance of such a majestic natural feature.

For others, it may evoke thoughts about the impacts of melting glaciers on our planet, such as rising sea levels and increased flooding. This may inspire ideas about the urgent need to take action to fight climate change and protect our planet.

In terms of imagination, the issue of glacier melting can stimulate creativity and innovation in finding solutions. It may inspire people to think of new ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions or develop new technologies for renewable energy.

Overall, the vision and imagination of glacier melting can have a significant impact on how we view this issue and our responsibility to address it. It can motivate us to take action and work towards a sustainable future for our planet.
