Reducing daily Co2 emissions

CO2 emissions are a constant topic of conversation in our day and age. As a world, we know that we must reduce our CO2 emissions, and that we have to do it quickly. But how can that be achieved? We asked ourselves that very question: "How can we reduce our daily CO2 emissions and motivate other people to do the same?"

Our idea:

Everyone creates CO2 emissions and it is a huge undertaking to minimise these emissions. For this reason, we wanted to focus on daily CO2 emissions in our project. During a brainstorming session we found ourselves facing some of the following questions: "What exactly are CO2 emissions? How do we create CO2 emissions in our daily lives? Is there a way to reduce our daily CO2 emissions?" With these questions in mind we started researching and found small and easy changes that everyone can make to reduce their own daily CO2 emissions. More...

Team with Nina, Inês and Alisha

In the first lesson we had an introduction to WordPress and started discussing what we have to do. Unfortunately Alisha had to leave in the break so there were only two of us to work on the project.

What we intend to do:

  • Finish writing our framework and make a post on the horse
  • Start transfering to WordPress and finalise the project
  • Start working on the remaining tasks

What we achieved:

Framework for the web contribution

Title: sports nutrition

What do athletes eat?

First, we intended to write about sports technology and its relationship with sports. However, we soon realized that it would be difficult to write a project on technology in sports. Therefore, we had to consider what we would like to do next. With the help of Mrs. Suter, we came up with the idea of writing about the nutrition of athletes. We decided to conduct interviews with athletes and ask them about their diets. We successfully carried out this plan, interviewing three athletes, which was very gratifying. We also collaborated with two students from India, who were able to interview a cricket player. The collaboration went very well.

Interview:

We conducted interviews with two skiers (Gilles Roulin and Alessio Miggiano) and one football player (Elmin Rastoder). Additionally, the individuals from India were able to conduct an interview with a cricket player.

Reflection, next steps:

Next, we would like to report on what we have discovered about nutrition. An important aspect is also to highlight the differences between Switzerland and India.
