Reflection project wind power

We think our project went pretty well. The detailed planning helped us to achieve my goals and we learned a lot from the project. We had the opportunity to cooperate with India and our communication was excellent. Once our collaboration was established, we opened a group chat on WhatsApp. We exchanged ideas, shared our progress and sent each other pictures. Video chats were also a very helpful option. We made good progress and all members tried to complete the tasks in time. Of course, there is a noticeable time difference between Switzerland and India, which made it a little difficult to set a date and time for zoom meetings. But all in all, it was a very positive experience.

Difference between Vision & Imagination and Reflexion
Vision and Imagination" outlines the broader goals and aspirations of local wind power, while "Reflection" reflects on personal experiences and lessons learned from the project, focusing on individual actions and behaviors that can contribute to wind power.

What are the 10 most important terms regarding sportsmen nutrition

  1. Macronutrients: Refers to the three primary nutrients needed in large quantities for sports nutrition: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

  2. Hydration: The process of maintaining adequate fluid balance in the body to support optimal performance and prevent dehydration.

  3. Electrolytes: Essential minerals, such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium, that help regulate fluid balance, nerve function, and muscle contractions.

  4. Pre-workout nutrition: The intake of specific nutrients before exercise to optimize energy levels, promote muscle protein synthesis, and enhance performance.

  5. Post-workout nutrition: The consumption of nutrients after exercise to replenish energy stores, facilitate muscle recovery, and promote tissue repair.

  6. Supplements: Products such as protein powders, creatine, and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) that athletes may use to complement their diet and support performance and recovery.

  7. Glycogen: The storage form of carbohydrates in the body, which serves as the primary fuel source during high-intensity exercise.

  8. Antioxidants: Compounds found in foods that help protect against oxidative stress and inflammation caused by intense physical activity.

  9. Body composition: The ratio of lean muscle mass to body fat, which is important for optimizing performance and overall health in athletes.

  10. Nutrient timing: The strategic planning and distribution of nutrient intake before, during, and after exercise to maximize performance, recovery, and adaptation.

Photos Teammembers

Hey Guys,

We asked our interview and collaboration partners if we could use a photo of them for our project, and they all said no.
We as a team have also decided not to publish a photo of ourselves in order to protect our privacy.

We hope you understand that!

Greetings
Belinda and Luisa

Reflection for our Project Green Gaming

Our project actually went pretty much as I had imagined it.  The detailed planning helped me to achieve my goals. I learned a lot from the project. In the future, I will be careful not to use the highest graphics settings when playing video games so that I don't waste energy unnecessarily. Also, in the future, I will question it more when I want to buy a new smartphone or computer, as I have learned how long the devices are used in India and as I can do something good for the environment.

Diffrence Between Vision & Imagination and Reflexion

"Vision and Imagination" outlines the broader goals and aspirations of making gaming more ecological, while "Reflexion" reflects on personal experiences and lessons learned from the project, focusing on individual actions and behaviors that can contribute to environmental sustainability in gaming.

Reflection for Penan from Borneo

What happened to you personally and/or to the team in between?

For me personally, it was a fascinating topic. The things I learned definitely opened my eyes. I am certain that just a few other topics would have been able to do it in such a manner. The people I have met during the process of creating were one of a kind. For example my friend Rudolf Isenschmid, a guy who has been with the Penan on multiple occasions, or the photographer Tomas Wüthrich, who kindly allowed me to use his phenomenal pictures. Additionally, I started to appreciate what I actually have and how good we have it here in Switzerland. The problems we are facing are almost non-existent in comparison to what the Penan face on a daily basis. It is almost incomprehensible for us, having to fight for our homes, for example.

What kind of knowledge and experience could you achieve?

I realized, that I do not need much to be happy. This might sound a bit like something a lot of people would say, but to see how the Penan live really opened my eyes. Through the interview, I was able to experience second hand what it means to interact with this special tribe. When I spoke with the photographer who was with the Penan in 2019 and took amazing pictures, which helped me to immerse into the project even better.

How biased has your perception of the “real world” been?

Really bias actually, the conception of my world in comparison to the life on Borneo is vastly different. The problems we face could not be more different. We feel like we got screwed over when the train does not come on time, but they fight for the home on a daily basis. They need to protect their home against the illegal logging, an issue they did not cause themselves but have to carry the consequences. Just because we, the rest of the world want the tropical woods and their own governments need space for agriculture. It definitely helped me to realize how privileged we have it here in Switzerland.

Did your guesses correspond?

Up to a certain degree for sure, but also not really. I have heard a lot during past conversations with my interview partner. But through the interview I started to ask questions I have not asked before, through that it has changed my point of view on the indigenous tribe from Borneo and on my own life. I fulfilled my goals for my project, I created something I can be proud of, something which can help to rethink and change the view of the world. At least a little bit.

Photos of team members - well, there is a problem

In relation to Task 28, I have the task of sharing photos of all the participants in my project. Unfortunately, this will not be possible. There are two reasons for this:

1. for my project I could visit the wastewater treatment plant in Rüti. I already knew the people from my apprenticeship and they were also all very nice and explained to me how it works. However, they were and are not willing to provide their faces for my project. I can understand that very well. It is also not an option for me to ask again.

2. the other option I might have would be Ms. Kappeler. I have been trying to reach her for weeks. She could give me answers in an interview about the sewage situation in Africa. But for that, we have to reach out first.

For the reasons mentioned before, it will most likely not be possible for me to show other faces (than mine).

(This post is related to Task 28)

Plan for today - Green Gaming

- Start planing what we want to publish exactly on DWME
- Post an update to our IDAF
- Do the tasks

Our project is on a good way. We have everything we need and the only thing that is left, is the text that we want to publish on DWME. We have pictures for the project, from me and Damian but unfortunately the students from Kerala dont want to send us pictures of them. Only Advaith did send us one of him and his laptop. The others do not want a picture of them to be published.

This post was published by Damian & Christian together.
